Trunk or Treat

Our church's Trunk or Treat was on October 29th.  It was a lot of fun.  Alana still loves being around people, so whenever there's a crowd, she is sure to have a great time.  Her favorite things about the night were probably 1) being allowed to carry my purse and 2) the actual act of transferring pieces of candy to her bag.

Halloween

Halloween was on the Friday after Trunk or Treat and we were invited back to our friend's house.  Last year, we decided not to go to their party because the weather was scary bad.  This year, it was just wet and cold and we were excited to go.  They have a sweet boy who is close to Alana's age.  His name is Dean and you may remember seeing a picture of him in Alana's birthday post.  Dean and Alana play well together and it's  really cute to watch them.  

Alana was an Indian and Dean was Charlie Brown. 

Big News

After the Halloween party, we were excited to see Grant and Jess who had driven up to spend the weekend with us.  They were already at our house when we got home, but we could barely greet them because we needed to get Alana ready for bed.  It was late and she was tired.  As Andrew and I were changing her diaper, Andrew, in a very matter-of-fact kind of way, said to me: "you know, Grant and Jess are going to tell us tonight they're pregnant, don't you?"  I just kind of ignored it and said "Naaaah!"  

Well... as most of you who are reading this blog already know - he was dead right!  When we came out of Alana's room, they shared their wonderful announcement with us.  I still can't believe Andrew was totally on point.  Of course he didn't know for sure, but he had been suspecting it for a while.

CONGRATULATIONS GRANT AND JESS!  Next year, you'll have a little one of your own to dress up for Halloween.
